Hint: fleas
Anyway, I wanted to ask the opinion of my oekaki watchers: OekakiBBS, PaintBBS, ShiPainter/Pro, or Chibi Paint? lol I bet half of you are going "WHAT THE HELL IS OEKAKIBBS?? D:" well let me tell you it's a very old program and Canvas and OekakiCentral [I think?] are the only ones I know that have it. If I had a sub this question would be the first poll I'd post.
And also: do you prefer to stick with one oekaki or jump? I used to just stay at one but then I tried to expand my range as far as I could reach. The bad thing about the latter is oekaki becomes a little less personal and you lose that sort of ~bond~ with oekakiers AND IT'S SO HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF THEM ALL ASDJFKL. I remember when Canvas's chat still worked and hanging out there three hours every day of the summer |D awesome times...
So yeah, happy fourth and crap. Set some stuff off, go crazy and stuff.
and how awesome is my cousin? SUPAH AWESOME AMIRITE
finally... finally got some crazy motivation to draw. |D most of my gallery is from last year's summer AND I HAVE TO BEAT THAT and show some improvement before I waste away or something happens. This last month has been nothing but writing which is good. Not bad, very good. It takes a lot to write 60 pages in one month let me tell you! And chips. It takes a lot of chips and dip to get that motivation. It works every time.
hey did anyone know that my favorite emote is that optimism one? Every time I see it I just want to take over the world or something IT'S AWESOME
wow major adolab* attack amirite
SO THE PROMISED ANSWER TO THE ABOVE RIDDLE:
both tolling bells and sleeping ONLY AT NIGHT were considered cures for the bubonic plague :b
lol I'm such a middle ages geek fanatic/obsessed lunatic. but it's all so interesting I can't help myself. How about the fact that stairwells wound only to the right/clockwise [going up] so that the defenders from above would have the advantage over the attackers coming from below? We went to the art museum [got to see some John Singer Sargent; the last one is the one at the Cleveland Museum of Art that I got to see : D] and they had a room with armor and the like on display which is so awesome because how many times in your life do you get to see that stuff right in front of you but yes sort of made me consider more outside of England-ish because there was some Italian and German stuff in the mix. I was looking at the rapiers and then when my dad swung by [little brother in tow... lolol] I was like "oh this is just the later medieval period" and he's like "oh?" and I was all "OH YEAH see here these rapiers have basket hilts and you see that ring? well you see it was a common form late 1600ish to put a finger on the crossguard and they eventually put a ring on the guard to conform to this and look at this! There's a latin inscription on here!" lol /nerd
if you read that paragraph, kudos. If you didn't, tl;dr
*adolab = attention deficit--oh look! a butterfly! /prancy prance

|D uhhh sure, go 'head and write. I'm always freakin' touchy about writing critiques just because there is so much more effort and time put into thinking up things and making them work and then finding out they don't is kind of annoying. EIGHT MONTHS. EIGHT. but, hell, reading those rants in that other link has just about shot fifty plot holes in my current plan. damn it

Pff not. YOU OWNED ME BACK THEN TOO.
Blah, sorry, critique delay. I accidentally started the critique on the prologue thinking that was what you meant by chapter one, but it should still be up by tonight.
DON'T WORRY I CAN HELP WITH PLOT HOLES.
And don't worry, the same thing happened to me when I first read her rants. I was all 'adkjf I'MSOINFERIOR.'
Another helpful writing link with tips from an amazing author: [link]
did not. D:<
|D ehhh doesn't matter to me.
I'm worried about plot holes like in the future. I'm going to get to chapter 40 and be like "what do I do now?"
damn you and your awesome links D:<

Pff, don't worry. My stories are gonna suck near the middle, most of mine I have the beginning and the end, and then the middle's all 'Oh crap I need to fill this upOKAYHE'LLBAKEACHERRYPIETHAT'SEXCITING'
AWESOME LINKS ARE AWESOME RITE?
They really will help you, though. : D No matter how many books you read, there're some things you'll notice only after they're pointed out to you.
PFFFFFF LOL I AM THE SAME
I figure out the beginning and end and then try to tie the middle together but they never fit correctly so that's why I always stop when I get to the middle : D

You may or may not have heard of her, but her rant/essay things are actually really good at pointing out cliches and ways to improve. I know I've improved a lot just from reading them.
