what is the origin of your username/nickname(s)? Tell as many as you want, too, I have time and the answers are sometimes really interesting B]
I usually only write journals when I'm in the mood for writing [aka procrastinating on art/commissions] so I guess it's been a while since I updated every two weeks. B] I also have certain watchers that know me irl and I honestly don't know what not to say sometimes, although I don't think they'd read this.
yeah so.
did everyone get what they wanted for Christmas?
I keep finding it harder and harder each year to come up with stuff to want. People seem to have a good idea of what they want by then but I have to think really hard about it. Well. Um. Time to finish art. Novel stuff. Maybe a couple art books. IFX subscription ... speaking of which etc.
I guess my resolution too is just going to stay the way it has for the past four years. Finish the novel. Get it over with. Technically, I am almost halfway, so if I pick up speed... BD
and then to improve in art. But that's a given.
stop creeping out
maybe get
and team chow with

+ maybe even try harder in track.
a small story that I just thought of while I was commenting:
a while back this kid in my class, Jack, was talking with someone else about how indoor track was coming up and someone else was looking at them kind of weird.
"Do you guys like running that much?"
and Jack just looked at him, I think lost for an explanation. I found myself wondering, too. Track is really a pain. That's all it is. It's how much pain you can run through. It was a joke with my friends that it was an emo sport BD
"I get a certain satisfaction out of it," was his reply, and I have to agree. There is a certain satisfaction out of those accomplishments. They are accomplishments. My obsessions BD
so this guy is really cool. I probably already linked him, but he is just. That. Cool. His site is updated now and looks REALLY SPIFFY. I tried looking up the book cover mentioned in this paragraph a while ago, but couldn't find it on his site or anywhere else on the internet quoting so, so I emailed him, and he confirmed that he had done it. B]
If I ever get the chance, I will illustrate book covers. His illos are so inspiring. One of my favorite things to do is go to a bookstore just to look at book covers. B] Some of the names and styles become familiar [Todd Lockwood. He. Is. A. God. Raymond Swanland. The other god. James Jean, whose covers make the sucky books look SO GOOD. But they are not. Just look at his covers.]
I remember the first time I picked up a book illustrated by Jon Foster and being completely dumbfounded that such a good illustration was on a tween's fantasy novel and also that the characters bore a slight resemblance to a certain two ocs ;D "This looks like something someone on CA would do..." was really all I could think. [he did a workshop on CA almost a month ago, actually, on illustrating book covers. It made me sad that I did not have an immediate $100 on me :CCC] I went to the library and got the book just because of the cover. People really do judge by covers, we can't deny it ;D
also yeah BACK TO MY UN-SPOILER JOURNAL TITLES the title is long enough only one this time instead of two :C
