ever get one thousand ideas to draw and then when you try to draw them all at once they all end up half-assed?
ever get an idea for another picture while in the middle of another and then completely lose any motivation whatsoever to continue working on the current one?
ever notice how all my journal entries touch on novel-shit and drawing at the same time? it's cause I'm talented like that and I know irl things =/= everyone else's interests. seriously. none of that stuff affects any of you
but if I say "HOLEE SHIT SUPER INSPIRATION FOR NOVEL STUFF" you can all immediately block my deviations.
see?
I'm generous like that :]

and all of the above apply to me at this point
whatev.

I've come on to tell you guys about my latest get-novel-done-and-become-rich-quick-fast-whatever plan.

ready for it?

are you sure?

prenanowrimo

yup.
sounds retarded doesn't it /nudgenudge

well so basically this is how it's going to work:
finish the novel
in a month.

whoa what?
okay well that's retarded why didn't you think of that before?

well um because
you see
nanowrimo
is in a month

...yeah?

well would mean that I've been working on this book for a year

...a year

how pathetic is that?

so, after careful planning and rather nervous false starts, I've got a resolution to write at least 1000 words a day

this is going to kick ass.

so how you guys tell me how you are since I've complained enough about me
oh yeah
does anyone play sports
I'm kind of looking into lacrosse
since track is starting to loom over me very threateningly
I'm just not fit enough :C

Enigmatic title is enigmatic. c;
Anyone proud of me I held off from journaling for a whole three weeks -shot-
Anyway, highschoooool it's been a rather mixed start, but overall positive. Kind of settled and blablabla.

I don't feel like writing too much... been needing to draw lately and my muse deserted me for the time being. I've been bombarding poor ~kellylove05 with all the art I see of recent.

Instead of reading this though, you should spend the time instead looking at some cool art by David Hong and Jason Chan, and if you haven't heard of them, crawl out from under your rock and take a look for me. Cookies for those who do ;]

click this to start off : D fantastic, huh?

and next is this amazing entry by Jason Chan for the "Last Man Standing" competition at CA.Org

and finally have a thumbnail-clicking-spree over here, because every single one deserves that click ;D

um yeah. couldn't think of anymore un-spoilers. :F but if you don't read and can guess who it is then you win. hint, dragon
+ shipainter won, anyone surprised?
I also tried chibipaint. It's sai basically with some photoshop functions, but I was missing some of the cool sai brush features so D: Plus the watercolors are kind of crappy compared to shi's... sorry chibi users |D;
I have to say though, I didn't have a problem with the program being "too complicated" <<;;

ANYWAY DITCHING MO.
AGAIN.
because a couple of the people are real dicks when it comes to dealing with artists/opinions blablabla I don't want a big fight but they are mean :F it's not like getting careless with what you say out loud some of it is genuinely un-called for >:l CA plz

it's a boycott with *squirtle-sketcher and ~poetrythymelody, the latter who I convinced to join Team CHOW [HELL YES it's a character/world designing kind of competition] and the former who keeps nagging me to teach her trig... which I HAVE NOT LEARNED YET BUT I'M TEACHING ANYWAY :iconimhappyplz: and it's actually very simple but she took a surprisingly long time to understand ಥ_______ಥ or maybe I'm a bad teacher idk OR MAYBE I'M TEACHING IT WRONG
dude look what you did. I've pretty-much memorized this damn sine, cosine, tangent thing, /headdesk

and I should prolly mention *Torchic23 who has been so patient these last weeks when I've been emoing my time away complaining about how many pages I have to get done and this commission that's driving me slowly insane BECAUSE THE FACE IS ASDJFKL:SD
oh did I mention that no I don't think I did

but I have a $100 commission :icongwahplz:
yarly I think this person is crazy but no she doesn't even know me it's a friend of my mom so <<;

*Torchic23 tells me I think too much
which is
undoubtedly
true

it comes with the stupid writing thing I swear and she told me to get a blog and use it because I'd love it but... D:
so does anyone else have a lj

novel pagecheck -- 181 pages 8D just for trivia. I'm so proud of myself /gloatflaunt hey when you put gloat and flaunt together you get float 8D

and when you gais read my journals do you do it to be courteous or are you GENUINELY AMUSED because I write to be amusing I guess
adolab
strikes
every time I open this "write journal" page I swear

~Kureculari ARGGGH YOU ARE GETTING TO ME

and finally I'd like to mention :iconcharlie140588:
Charlie Bowater; you may or may not have seen her on dA, but she's really really cool D:
[link] <--- I think this is my favorite piece(s) from her; check out her entire gallery! CGhub is kind of easier to browse with than dA so... :]

Tolling Bells and Sleeping at Night

Can you guess what both things in the header have in common? :b give you one hint and put the answer at the bottom harhar for reader enticement -shot-
Hint: fleas

Anyway, I wanted to ask the opinion of my oekaki watchers: OekakiBBS, PaintBBS, ShiPainter/Pro, or Chibi Paint? lol I bet half of you are going "WHAT THE HELL IS OEKAKIBBS?? D:" well let me tell you it's a very old program and Canvas and OekakiCentral [I think?] are the only ones I know that have it. If I had a sub this question would be the first poll I'd post.

And also: do you prefer to stick with one oekaki or jump? I used to just stay at one but then I tried to expand my range as far as I could reach. The bad thing about the latter is oekaki becomes a little less personal and you lose that sort of ~bond~ with oekakiers AND IT'S SO HARD TO KEEP TRACK OF THEM ALL ASDJFKL. I remember when Canvas's chat still worked and hanging out there three hours every day of the summer |D awesome times...

So yeah, happy fourth and crap. Set some stuff off, go crazy and stuff.

and how awesome is my cousin? SUPAH AWESOME AMIRITE

finally... finally got some crazy motivation to draw. |D most of my gallery is from last year's summer AND I HAVE TO BEAT THAT and show some improvement before I waste away or something happens. This last month has been nothing but writing which is good. Not bad, very good. It takes a lot to write 60 pages in one month let me tell you! And chips. It takes a lot of chips and dip to get that motivation. It works every time.

hey did anyone know that my favorite emote is that optimism one? Every time I see it I just want to take over the world or something IT'S AWESOME

wow major adolab* attack amirite

SO THE PROMISED ANSWER TO THE ABOVE RIDDLE:

both tolling bells and sleeping ONLY AT NIGHT were considered cures for the bubonic plague :b

lol I'm such a middle ages geek fanatic/obsessed lunatic. but it's all so interesting I can't help myself. How about the fact that stairwells wound only to the right/clockwise [going up] so that the defenders from above would have the advantage over the attackers coming from below? We went to the art museum [got to see some John Singer Sargent; the last one is the one at the Cleveland Museum of Art that I got to see : D] and they had a room with armor and the like on display which is so awesome because how many times in your life do you get to see that stuff right in front of you but yes sort of made me consider more outside of England-ish because there was some Italian and German stuff in the mix. I was looking at the rapiers and then when my dad swung by [little brother in tow... lolol] I was like "oh this is just the later medieval period" and he's like "oh?" and I was all "OH YEAH see here these rapiers have basket hilts and you see that ring? well you see it was a common form late 1600ish to put a finger on the crossguard and they eventually put a ring on the guard to conform to this and look at this! There's a latin inscription on here!" lol /nerd

if you read that paragraph, kudos. If you didn't, tl;dr

*adolab = attention deficit--oh look! a butterfly! /prancy prance
